This little fellow is bound for the compost heap. My nephew very sweetly gifted it to me after I admired it. Yes, Halloween has come and gone, with its preponderance of masks, sweets, and spooky noises. This year all I managed was a pair of pumpkins and a handful of decorative corn (thanks mom!), next year maybe I'll rustle up some cobwebs.
While I'm on the topic of Halloween, I was thinking about more eco-friendly ways of celebrating. All those individually wrapped candies make my head spin. Besides perhaps homemade candies or baked goods, is there any way around this? Are there candies out there with compostable packaging?
